WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A big improvement in temperatures since Friday, as readings were 20° to 25° higher. A cold front could spark flurries Sunday morning in the north, while snow showers are anticipated Monday night in the Northwoods, with a chance of rain showers in Central Wisconsin. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WSAW) - THC, the chemical compound found in marijuana plants, has been used by drink makers in recent years to deliver hemp-based products to customers. Under current Minnesota law, brewers are allowed to create hemp-based drinks which qualify for federal tax benefits and do not fall under the federal anti-marijuana laws. MADISON, Wis. (WSAW) - The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has announced updates to the immunizations needed for children in childcare centers and schools. The changes include updated requirements related to meningitis and whooping cough immunizations, and that past chickenpox infection must be documented by a qualified medical professional. Seasonal flu or COVID-19 vaccinations are not required, but remain strongly recommended. There is no change to existing exemption options for medical, religious, or philosophical reasons.
