PONTIAC (WWJ) – The search for a suspect is underway after a 22-year-old woman was found shot to death on a Pontiac sidewalk early Sunday morning.
Police were called to a home on Columbia Avenue in Pontiac shortly before 4:30 a.m. Sunday on the report of shots fired, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
When officers showed up, they found her lying on the sidewalk.
Authorities have not released any information on a possible motive in the shooting or a description of a suspect.
Police officials say the woman is believed to have ties to Pontiac and Detroit, though her residence is not exactly clear.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for anyone who can provide tips that lead to an arrest. Anyone who knows something about the murder is asked to call 1-800-SPEAK-UP. All tipsters will remain anonymous.
