Young & Restless Preview: Jack Has Harsh Words for Phyllis After Jeremy Arrives in Genoa City — and Even Victor Is Concerned!

We’ve written before about how The Young and the Restless desperately needs some have-nots on the canvas. (Missed it? Here’s the story.) When everybody in Genoa City is filthy rich, to what is any character aspiring? Spoiler alert: nothing. We just get nonstop job swaps and mergers and takeovers, none of which ever feel like they are impactful. “Wealthy guy fired at company No. 1 goes to work at company No. 2. Still wealthy. Big whoop.”

But that doesn’t mean Michael should look for a new love!. When it comes to General Hospital, we’ve learned that you should never say never. As in “Oh, they’d never kill Brando and Sasha’s baby.” Or “Oh, they killed Sasha’s baby… surely they wouldn’t kill her husband, too!”

On one hand, we get it. On the other… well, with the other hand, we facepalm. Look, we can understand why The Young and the Restless would have Victor anxious to return Adam to the Newman Enterprises. It’s a family business, and he’s family. But on a deeper level, it just doesn’t track. The former Christian Miller built himself up from nothing and respects others who do the same. So his obsession with putting Adam back behind a Newman desk suggests that he doesn’t think that he can succeed on his own.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea tells Adam that Billy is meeting her there when he brings the boys back from skating. She senses he’s down and Adam reveals that Victor is up to his old treachery — he has to watch his back at Jabot. Chelsea guesses he wants to punish him for going to work for the enemy. Adam says that according to Nick, he’s doing it to save him. He figures his old man will try and get him fired, then asks, “Do you want to hear the punchline? I’m not happy at Jabot.” He’s forced to admit that his father’s instincts are dead on.

If you think what Thomas did by involving Douglas in his scheme to frame Brooke for calling CPS has been forgotten, it hasn’t. In fact, The Bold and the Beautiful is bringing someone back to the show that will help determine where things go from here in regards to Douglas — and how much Thomas will be able to play a part in his life.

The only way to protect the Abbotts may alienate her from them for good. Young & Restless’s Diane just made perhaps the most important promise of her life when she told Kyle that no matter what happens she would never abandon him again. During the evening of Thursday, February 2, General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) replied to a tweet about how expensive insulin is and in turn, revealed that her daughter Lauren had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes back in July 2022. The tweet in question was from California Governor Gavin Newsom, who stated, “Insulin should not be so expensive. California is going to create its own insulin.”
