Two arrested after shots fired

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Two people have been arrested after shots were fired in a neighborhood before leading police on a pursuit.

The driver, Charles Michael, 39, of Charleston, was charged with Fleeing with Reckless Indifference, Prohibited Person with a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver, and Fleeing on Foot. The passenger, Faith Osborne, 23, of Charleston, was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver.

Charleston Police responded to the shots fired call in the 500 block of South Ruffner Road Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence of shots being fired in and around a residence, but CPD officers said no victim was found.

Witnesses told police they saw a blue and white motorcycle take off from the scene shortly after the shots were fired.

Patrol units located the alleged motorcycle around MacCorkle Ave. and South Ruffner Road.

Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the motorcycle, however, the driver fled from officers, turning onto South Ruffner Road. Shortly thereafter, the motorcycle was involved in a crash with another vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle then ran from officers but was caught.

CPD said the investigation remains ongoing.
