After a lot of anticipation built for the College Football Playoff throughout the final weeks of the season, the full field is finally here. In the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Ohio State will battle with a spot in the National Championship on the line. The opening betting lines are here for that CFP Semifinal matchup.

According to Caesars Sports, Georgia opens at a seven-point favorite over Ohio State.

In the other CFP semifinal, No. 2 Michigan is a nine-point favorite over No. 3 TCU.

Georgia again had a perfect regular season, and the Bulldogs were able to secure the SEC Championship on Saturday with a 50-30 victory over LSU. Ohio State was perfect up until the regular season finale against Michigan, where the Buckeyes fell 45-23 in The Game.

Georgia’s dominance has been on display throughout the season, and the Bulldogs were the clear No. 1 team entering the final College Football Playoff reveal. The Bulldogs have a few impressive victories, including ones against Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Last season, Georgia was undefeated in the regular season until the Bulldogs lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. The Bulldogs entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 3 seed, and defeated Michigan and Alabama to secure the national title.

For Ohio State, the path to the College Football Playoff was far from guaranteed. After losing to Michigan in The Game, the Buckeyes fell to No. 5 in the CFP rankings. But after USC lost on Friday, the door opened again for Ohio State, and the Buckeyes found themselves on the right side of the rankings.

Ohio State has wins over Notre Dame and Penn State, among others.

Ohio State is led by star quarterback CJ Stroud, who will pose a great threat for the Georgia defense. He has thrown for 3340 yards with 37 touchdowns and six interceptions this season. The Buckeyes also have a dominant receiver room, as Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka both have 1000 yards and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is still a factor despite injury concerns.

Georgia is led by a stout defense, but the offense has shown some great things this season as well. Stetson Bennett has thrown for 3,425 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions, and he’s added seven additional scores on the ground. The Bulldogs also have one of the nation’s best pass catchers in tight end Brock Bowers.
