Polite Dog Learns To Wipe Her Mouth After Drinking in Hilarious Video

A dog named Mini has left the internet in stitches after a video of her learning how to wipe her mouth after drinking water went viral on social media.

The video, shared on TikTok in November by the dog's owner under the username Tiny_and_mini, shows the 1-year-old Great Dane drinking water from her bowl and then wiping her mouth with a mat that her owner placed in another bowl, as instructed.

Wiping her mouth after drinking. Making great progress on Day 2. I’m WAY overdue in teaching my Great Danes to do this. If your life is blessed with these magnificent beasts or other SUPER messy drinkers, you know what your floor looks like after each and every drink and wonder if any of the water actually got in their bellies. #greatdanelife #greatdanemoments #greatdanetraining #greatdanesoforangecounty #greatdane #greatdanesoftiktok #training #dogtraining #goodgirl #mommasgirl #fastlearner

In the caption, the dog owner explained: "Wiping her mouth after drinking. Making great progress on Day 2." She explained she was way overdue in teaching her dogs to do this, as they are "super messy" drinkers.

"You know what your floor looks like after each and every drink and wonder if any of the water actually got in their bellies," she said.

Great Danes drool more than most other breeds due to their facial composition, according to the Great Dane Care blog. This is because their square jaw and loose lips are not well suited to containing drool, and the folds in the skin allow it to pool and easily run out of the mouth. The worst drooling often occurs immediately after eating, drinking, or exercising.

As tall as 32 inches at the shoulder, Great Danes are taller than most other dogs and when standing on their hind legs, they are taller than most people too! Their coat comes in different colors and patterns, perhaps the best-known is the black-and-white patchwork pattern known as "harlequin." Despite their sweet nature, they also make great alert home guardians.
