SAN ANTONIO – A woman was shot by a neighbor after he was upset about a late house party on the West side.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Noria Street at around 10:30 p.m. for a shooting in progress.

According to officials, residents were having a party when their neighbor across the street initiated an argument regarding the party. The neighbor then fired two shots from a shotgun while standing in the street, which ended up hitting a 52-year-old woman.

The suspect then fled to his residence and refused to get out when police arrived. The incident led to a barricaded subject. SWAT was called out and attempted to call out the barricaded subject, but the neighbor still refused to answer or exit. About an hour later SWAT left the scene. The suspect then left his home and went down the street. Officers located him and the suspect was arrested.

The woman received a non-life-threatening injury.
