The Knoxville School Board met in regular session Monday night. Elected as president for the board will be Cheri Gerdes for another term while the vice president elected was Monica Sullivan.

Among the items discussed included a partnership with Little Creators Club and considering the initial request for the 2023 Washington DC Trip.

The Little Creators Club will involve two different groups, one for third through fifth grade and another group of sixth and seventh graders. It will eventually be one teacher for every 12 students who sign up.

Teacher Sara Finnegan will work on details for the Washington DC trip in 2023 and in 2024.

The board approved the second reading on board policies and waived the third reading of policies. Board members were assigned to a variety of committees.
