My father played a large role in my addiction to college football and the Mississippi State football team. I have grown up watching, listening to, and traveling to SEC games all over the country with him. One of the conversations we tend to always have before the weekend is the betting lines. Now hear me out… We don’t actually place any bets, but we do seem to know how the games will end up. Every week, my dad and I will call each other to pick the SEC lines of the week.

Before rivalry week kicks off, be sure to check out our picks. I am not saying that we’re always correct, but I am saying that we are usually close. We typically pick the Mississippi State Bulldogs no matter who they are playing so you might not want to use our advice in that game. The lines that we base our picks off of are found at FanDuel.com. Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

These were our picks before the games kicked off yesterday. Check out how we did to close the season out.

No. 24 UTSA (-8.5) vs. North Texas (UTSA 48-27)

Dad: I’ll go with Vegas because I don’t know enough about either team.

Landon: Same.

No. 5 USC (-2.5) vs. No. 12 Utah (Utah 47-24)

Dad: I’m picking USC, and I hope I’m wrong.

Landon: I really thought it would be USC because of how hard it is to beat a team twice.

Toledo (-2.5) vs. Ohio (Toledo 17-7)

Dad: I know nothing about this one, but I’ll go Ohio.

Landon: Same.

No. 3 TCU (-2.5) vs. No. 13 Kansas State (Kansas State 31-28)

Dad: I’m not going against TCU anymore. They prove me wrong every week.

Landon: KSU… It’s hard to beat a team twice.

Coastal Carolina at Troy (-9.5) (Troy 45-26)

Dad: I’m going to take Coastal Carolina to cover.

Landon: Troy might be Ole Miss’ best win. *wink* I’ll go Troy.

No. 1 Georgia (-17.5) vs. No. 11 LSU (UGA 50-30)

Dad: Give me the Tigers to cover.

Landon: LSU to cover.

No. 22 UCF at No. 19 Tulane (-3.5) (Tulane 45-28)

Dad: This is going to be a great game to watch. I have a feeling UCF could win this one, but I’ll go Tulane.

Landon: Tulane covers. Fritz is staying!

Fresno State at Boise State (-3.5) (Fresno State 28-16)

Dad: I’ll take Boise.

Landon: Fresno.

No. 2 Michigan (-16.5) vs. Purdue (Michigan 43-22)

Dad: I think Michigan covers.

Landon: Michigan should have no issues.

No. 10 Clemson (-7.5) vs. No. 17 North Carolina (Clemson 39-10)

Dad: I’ll pick Clemson to cover even after the loss.

Landon: Clemson.
