LeBron James reached big assist milestone in Friday win vs. Bucks

Friday was a big day for the Los Angeles Lakers: They scored a huge win over the Milwaukee Bucks on the road, 133-129.

It was L.A.’s biggest win in quite some time, and it came against a team that won the NBA championship less than 18 months ago and could quite possibly do so again this summer.

Anthony Davis, as he has often been lately, was the Lakers’ biggest star. He erupted for 44 points on 18-of-27 shooting plus 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots.

But LeBron James didn’t do too badly. He added 28 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists.

Those 11 assists allowed him to notch an important milestone. He surpassed Lakers icon Magic Johnson on the all-time list of career assists.

Johnson himself took to Twitter to congratulate the four-time MVP on the accomplishment.

James has 10,144 assists as an NBA player. He is 190 assists behind former point guard Mark Jackson, who is fifth on the list at 10,334.

Two-time MVP Steve Nash is right above Jackson with 10,335 career dimes.
