Antelopes stomp Kangaroos, 66-22

The Whiteface Antelopes shut the visiting Kress Kangaroos down in a 62-22 win last Tuesday in UIL high school boys’ basketball action.

Whiteface came out running hard and took a 21-15 lead at the end of the first quarter. They shut the Kangaroos down in the second period, taking a 34-16 lead into the locker room.

The third quarter was more of the same with Kress held scoreless while Whiteface spread the scoring around.

The Antelopes slowed a bit in the fourth quarter, but by then the game was well in hand.

Jeremiah Rendon had 20 points. Brighton Scoggins had 10. Jeremiah Soliz had six. Noah Rector had five as did Beau Brewer.

Auscar Gandara and Jeremias Chavez had four each. Ethan Kauffman, Josh Whitehead, Joel Fortner and Gavin Baker each had two points.

The Antelopes are in their home tournament this weekend.
