A motorcycle rider died Saturday afternoon in a crash with an electric SUV in the Bethany area, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to deputies, the crash between a motorcycle and a Kia Niro happened at about 4:45 p.m. along Northwest Laidlaw Road east of the Bethany Boulevard intersection.

A deputy arrived within three minutes of the crash being reported and immediately started first aid. More deputies and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue paramedics also helped, however, the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead.

The motorcyclist was identified as Feliciano Cruz Morales, 23, of Hillsboro.

The driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation, which is being led by the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team.
