It doesn’t feel that long ago that we were all dealing with Overwatch 2’s launch issues and yet the game’s second season is already almost here. Along with a fresh Battle Pass and a Greek mythology theme, Season 2 will bring in a new hero, Ramattra, and another Escort map.

Season 2 of Overwatch 2 will go live on Tuesday, December 6. Barring any technical issues, it should start at 2PM ET. You can click this link to see what time that is in several timezones around the world.

You have a couple more days to get to level 80 of the Season 1 premium Battle Pass and get your hands on that sick Genji Mythic skin.

If you’re a PC player and you have automatic downloads turned on, you should now see a message on the Battle.net launcher that reads “Pre-release content downloaded.” That likely means the Season 2 patch is installed on your PC, so you should be more or less ready to go when the season starts. Console players will likely have to download the update after Season 2 is live.

The Mythic skin for Season 2 is a Zeus version of Junker Queen that looks pretty great. Additionally, the season will bring in balance changes for multiple heroes, including Sojourn, Kiriko and Junker Queen. Blizzard has confirmed that Winter Wonderland and Lunar New Year will take place during the season. You’ll also be able to check out an intriguing brand-new event called Battle for Olympus in early January.

I’ll have details on everything you need to know about the new season on my blog, including how to unlock Ramattra, the all-important patch notes and everything that’s in the Season 2 Battle Pass. I’m really glad we’re getting these big content drops on a regular cadence moving forward and I’m ready to dive in to Season 2. See you in-game on Tuesday!
