Kasperi Kapanen recorded his second career hat trick in a 6-2 Penguins win over the Blues Saturday night.

The Penguins got going early with a 3-1 lead after the first period. Kapanen scored two goals and Bryan Rust scored a goal. He had entered the game with just one in the last fourteen games.

Kapanen completed the hat trick in the second period just after the halfway mark where he scored on the power play making it 5-2 Pens after two periods.

"I give Kap so much credit," said Mike Sullivan. "I just think he's trying to play the game the right way, he's trying to get inside, he's going to the net, he's physical on the forecheck, he's challenging defenseman with his speed."

Rust and Evgeni Malkin both had three assists in the game and Tristan Jarry made 26 saves on 28 shots.

Pens are 9-2-2 in their last 13 games. They take on Columbus Tuesday night.
