OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – Opelousas officers responded to shots being fired Saturday.
A victim was walking to his car from his business and was approached by an unknown person and was shot in the stomach.
The shooting occurred on South Union Street near the Madison Street area, police said.
The victim was transported to a Lafayette hospital.
