The Charlotte Hornets failed to extend their winning streak to two games, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks by a final score of 105-96.

Terry Rozier led the way for Charlotte with 26 points, while Bobby Portis had 20 points to lead a short-handed Milwaukee squad.

With the loss, the Hornets are now 7-16 on the season.

P.J. Washington struggled mightily, posting 0 points in 0/13 shooting in 33 minutes. His 13 field goal attempts are the most without a make in his career and are tied for the most without a make in Hornets history. Only David Wesley had achieved this dubious distinction prior to Washington.

Milwaukee’s role players stepped up

Playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday, the Bucks were forced to rely on their role players in order to come away with the win.

On the interior, the duo of Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez combined for 34 points and 14 rebounds. Meanwhile, the backcourt duo of Jevon Carter and Jordan Nwora combined for 31 points after averaging a combined 15.3 points per game coming into tonight’s contest.
