I cannot afford to have a baby, too, because of the insecure economy and too expensive to support the family nowadays. It was not the baby boom of the 1950s, and it was one income family. Several wives stayed home and took care of the family while husbands worked. The economy was good and several of them stayed in one company for many years without fear of losing jobs. đ
