Jason Momoa has been hinting a big news for the DC Universe for the past few months, and he recently teased something pretty major. There are rumors that Momoa could leave his Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom role behind and play a new character in James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Studios slate, but the actor has denied that pretty heavily. Gunn and Safran will unveil their new DC Studios slate later this month, and no one except the higher ups at Warner Bros. Discovery seems to know exactly what will happen. Momoa is rumored to be cast as Loboin the new DC Universe and one artist has created a cool new design that shows how he could look as the character.

Richard Gere starred in a number of acclaimed films and projects over the course of his career, roles that have earned him numerous awards nominations and wins as well. But of all the films in the actor's repertoire, there is one that he feels deserves more praise than it received. Speaking with ComicBook.com about his new romantic comedy, Maybe I Do, Gere said that there a few of his films that he feels deserved to break through more than they did, but that The Hoax was "a really good film" that just didn't quite break through.

2018's Black Panther opened the forbidden door between Marvel Studios and the Academy Awards, and 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is walking right through. The Ryan Coogler-directed sequel received a total of five Oscar nominations, including the first-ever acting nod for Marvel Studios in the form of Angela Bassett's best supporting actress nod. Beyond Bassett, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was nominated for best original song, best costume design, make-up & hairstyling, and best visual effects. These five nominations are down from its predecessor, as 2018's Black Panther received seven total nods four years ago.

Marvel Studios just finished up their Phase 4 slate of projects with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and they're looking to start 2023 off with a bang. But, before they do that, we can't help but note the great films they released last year like Wakanda Forever, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and even Thor: Love and Thunder. Thor: Love and Thunder was a first for Marvel and a first for superhero movies as it marked the first time a comic book character had gotten four movies. The film does a lot of interesting things with the God of Thunder, but the most interesting thing was bringing Omnipotence City to life as well as all of the Gods. In the film, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) goes to Omnipotence City to ask his fellow Gods for help, but they end up laughing him off and he ends up killing Zeus (Russell Crowe). Love and Thunder's post-credits tag features Zeus dying and his son Hercules (Brett Goldstein) promising to find and kill Thor. Goldstein has been pretty quiet about his brief appearance and has followed all of the studio's strict guidelines, and now he's revealing what happened during his first day on set. While appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Goldstein jokingly says that Marvel security microchipped him and threatened him not to say anything.

Netflix's The Recruit is officially sticking around. On Thursday, the streaming service confirmed that the thriller series will be returning for a second season, just over a month after it first made its debut on December 16th. The series stars Black Adam and To All The Boys I've Loved Before's Noah Centineo, who also executive produces the show. Fans of The Recruit will surely be happy to get this news, especially after Season 1 of the series ended on a cliffhanger ending. Season 1 of the show performed pretty impressively on Netflix, staying within its Top 10 most-watched shows for a good chunk of December.

Rick and Morty has found itself in a pickle, and no – Rick has nothing to do with it this time. This week, Adult Swim announced it was cutting ties with series co-creator and star Justin Roiland. As you can imagine, the move has left a huge hole to fill as the embattled actor voiced the show's leads. However, it seems like fans have already found the replacement of their dreams.

Earlier today came the reveal from Nielsen about the top streaming titles for all of 2022, and while Netflix's Stranger Things being #1 may not have been that much of a surprise there were still a few others to be found. Of note in the Original Streaming titles chart is that only two streaming services were represented, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The later of these two streamers only had two titles on the top shows chart, The Boys and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. According to Nielsen's numbers, the former of these was the top show on the entire Prime Video platform, and the cast are thanking fans for giving them this honor.

That '90s Show was released on Netflix last week, and the new sequel series sees the return of many actors from That '70s Show, including Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso) and Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart). When That '70s Show ended, Jackie ended up with Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), but it was revealed in That '90s Show that Jackie is now married to Kelso. Previously, Kunis expressed concerns about her character ending up with Kelso, but the upside was getting to act alongside her real-life husband once again. Recently, That '90s Show creators Terry Turner, Bonnie Turner, and Gregg Mettler talked to Buzzfeed about Kutcher and Kunis' brief cameo.

Frasier's long-awaited sequel has cast Anders Keith and Jess Salgueiro in roles for the Paramount+ series. Variety reported the moves for the streaming revival. Kelsey Grammer is, of course, returning for the titular role. Nicholas Lyndhurst and Jack Cutmore-Scott are also reported to appear. With Keith, he'll play Frasier's nephew and Salgueiro will be his son Freddy's roommate. It's an inventive way to work around some of the fan expectations of a straightforward continuation. But, the two characters also make a ton of sense to bounce off the older members of the cast.

Rick and Morty will be moving on without Justin Roiland as Adult Swim has announced they are cutting ties with the series co-creator following his domestic abuse charges. According to the official statement released on the series' Twitter account, Rick and Morty will continue with the cast and crew hard at work on Season 7, "Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland. Rick and Morty will continue." The talented and dedicated crew are hard at work on Season 7." But there has yet to be word on what that means for the voices behind the two leads moving forward.

Readers finally learned who the mysterious Avenger Prime is in the pages of Avengers Forever. "Avengers Assemble" is a crossover event between Jason Aaron's Avengers and Avengers Forever titles, marking the end of his multi-year run on Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The current-day Avengers are teaming up with heroes from across the multiverse to battle Mephisto and the Multiversal Masters of Evil. One of Marvel's Free Comic Book Day titles last year teased this epic story, while also introducing a figure called Avenger Prime who watches over Avengers Tower at the God Quarry. Marvel teased the revealing of Avenger Prime's identity, and now the time has come to find out who he really is.

Attack on Titan's ending is about to play out in the dark anime adaptation produced by Studio MAPPA, but the original manga series came to a close years ago. Following a recent visit to North America, creator Hajime Isayama talked about the controversial ending to his dark anime franchise along with the series overall. Now, in an even more recent interview with a French outlet, Isayama laid out his plans for the future, including the possibility of new manga creations, while stressing his continued desire to operate a sauna.

Infinity Pool is earning its fair share of praise from critics, earning a positive review score on RottenTomatoes and commonly seeing compliments fly around on social media. However, the commentary surrounding the film is often including its graphic nature. Brandon Cronenberg's latest horror thrill ride produced an NC-17 cut which was screened for press before an R-rated version of the film is set to be released in theaters. As it turns out, Cronenberg did not change very much of the film to earn an MPAA rating which makes it more suitable for distribution in theaters.

With the Dawn of DC initiative now underway, a number of the publisher's heroes and villains are getting the narrative spotlight. Of course, the nature of superhero comics means that that spotlight includes some major changes — including, in the case of one fan-favorite villain, an interesting makeover.
