Two Stillwater police officers were recognized after saving a woman who was unconscious.
On Wednesday, Stillwater Fire Department Chief Essary and Assistant Chief Halcomb presented two Stillwater Police officers with a Certificate of Commendation Award.
“Protecting and serving our community is a team effort, and we are incredibly grateful for our brothers and sisters in law enforcement, and the outstanding work they do every single day,” said Essary.
Sgt. Cluck and Officer Johnsonbaugh responded to a medical call to assist SFD and LifeNet. The caller advised that a female subject was passed out and not breathing. Officer Johnsonbaugh arrived quickly and began to render CPR. Sgt. Cluck arrived shortly after and assisted Officer Johnsonbaugh. The quick actions of the two officers ultimately saved a life that day, said SPD.
“I am very proud of Sgt. Cluck and Officer Johnsonbaugh. Their quick response and actions directly impacted the life of one of our citizen’s, their family, and friends. Great work by both officers,” said SPD Chief Watts.
