Mobile Police: Phat Tuesday's Sports Bar shooting suspect surrenders

MOBILE, Ala (WPMI) — UPDATE:

According to police, 39-year-old Darius Matthews was identified as the suspect, and on Monday, December 5 2022, he surrendered to detectives.

ORIGINAL STORY:

According to the Mobile Police Department, two men were injured in an early Saturday morning shooting at Phat Tuesdays Sports Bar in Mobile.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired just before 3:00 a.m. when they discovered a man suffering from a life threating gunshot wound.

The victim was then transported to the hospital for his injuries.

Shortly afterward, another male victim arrived at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The condition of both men is currently unknown as MPD continues to investigate.
