Antonio Tyson, who was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail earlier this week by Covington Police after he reportedly murdered and burned the bodies of two individuals, has been transferred to the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola after a failed escape attempt.

Tyson was rebooked on one count of Attempted Escape after he damaged jail property in his attempt to escape from the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

Determined to be a flight risk, Tyson was transferred to Angola Saturday morning on an emergency return order.

He was transported without incident.

David Burns was also arrested for one count of Principle to Attempted Escape after it was learned he assisted Tyson in his escape attempt.
