CLARKSVILLE, TN – As the cold weather inevitably rolls into Clarksville and Montgomery County, the need for warm clothes and basic necessities becomes more important.  For that reason, BizVets CONNECT, GFL Environmental, Legends Bank and the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library has partnered with YAIPak Outreach to bring A Cozy Clarksville Christmas to those who need it most.

Starting Dec. 10 through Dec. 15, GFL Environmental will place collection bins at the Clarksville branches of Legends Bank, the public library, and various BizVets Connect business locations. YAIPak Outreach is asking for donated items that YAIPak will then distribute to foster children, Veterans, and those without a home.

“Regardless of someone’s situation, we believe everyone is important and loved,” said Chris Bright, Administrative Director of YAIPak Outreach. “This partnership with BizVets, GFL, Legends Bank, and the public library will mean more of Clarksville’s under-served will know that the community does care about them during the holidays.

Items that can be donated include, children’s jackets, 4 person tents, sleeping bags, kids and teens joggers and leggings, kids and teens athletic shoes, hand warmers, beef jerky, hygiene products, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, and insulated travel mugs. All items should be new and preferably still in original packaging. For more information on making a donation or for drop-off locations, please call YAIPak Outreach at 615-559-7710.
