NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty Brooklyn NYPD officer was arrested on Friday for threatening his ex-boyfriend with a gun during an argument over child care, according to police.

Giovanni Bailey, 27, was arguing with his ex-boyfriend about child care when he put a gun on the dresser and “threatened to cause harm if the child was endangered,” officials said.

He was arrested around 2:45 p.m. on charges of menacing and harassment, according to authorities.

Police would not confirm where the incident took place, but said he was arrested in the 71st precinct which covers Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
