HONOLULU (KITV4) - Nā Hoku Hanohano Award winners Henry Kapono, Jeff Peterson, Raiatea Helm and Kamuela Kimokeo bring their collective talents together in concert for Makana Mele at Windward Community College's Palikū Theater.
“The purpose of the concert is actually to raise money for the newly formed Henry Kapono Foundation Hawaiian Music Scholarship," said Kimokeo, Director of the Hawaiian Music Institute, "the scholarship is geared to help those students who are going to be a part of our Hawaiian music certificate program at Windward Community College.
Makana Mele happens this Monday, Dec 5 at WCC’s Paliku Theater from 6-8:30 pm. It’ll be hosted by Mele Apana and KITV 4’s Davey D.
