Knoxville High School will host their Winter Concert December 19 starting at 7 p.m. for students in grades 9 through 12 at the Performing Arts Center.

The concert is a combination of Jazz Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers all bringing their talents together. Leading the Knoxville groups will be Ian Heetland, Knoxville Director of Choirs and Meredith Tipping, Knoxville Band Director.

Heetland tells KNIA/KRLS News about the concert. “We’ve got our annual winter concert here at Knoxville High School taking place on the 19th of December. It’s a Monday night and we’re really excited. We’ve got both the choirs here, the concert choir and the chamber singers in my department and my band colleague, Mrs. Meredith Tipping has her Jazz Band and Concert Band performing as well.”

Heetland said he and Tipping have a good working relationship and added that is important, because they share many of the same students.
