Library Director's letter published 1/2/23
Hello friends,
Last month, as you may recall, I sent out a call for help fund-raising the last $4,000 for repairs to the original 1912 Carnegie Library windows and doors. Your response was overwhelming and beyond anything for which we had hoped. Thank you! So far, the donations have reached nearly $16,000! This will cover the repairs to the wood and allow us to start repairing the cracked cement around the outside of the original building and the outdoor cement steps.
As promised, all funds raised will be used toward the restoration and repairs of the historic 1912 library, and we are so excited to continue on. Our repairs list also includes fixing and enhancing the lighting, creating better visibility for our newspapers, magazines, and fiction collections.
With gratitude,
Korie Jones Buerkle, Library Director
