Seattle fire respond to fire in vacant building

SEATTLE, Wash. —
Seattle fire responded on Friday evening to a fire in a vacant building near 9th Ave and Cherry St.

The blaze included all floors of the building except the basement. Officials advised travelers to stay clear of areas in close distance to the fire.

Heavy smoke and flames were visible in the vacant building, according to officials.

Seattle fire crews were able to contain the fire, allowing them to reduce their response. There were no injuries, according to Seattle Fire Department.
