BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian dead Friday night.
The collision was reported on White Lane near South Real Road at around 9:45 p.m.
Investigators said a man was struck by a vehicle and the driver of the vehicle fled after the collision. The man died of his injuries at the scene, police said.
Police said the suspect vehicle is described as a gray mid-2010s model Subaru WRX sedan with front end damage.
The pedestrian will be identified at a later time by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
