For the first time in 25 years, a City League team is headed to the State Title game as Westinghouse defeated WPIAL 2A champion Steel Valley 26-7 at West Mifflin high school.

After a 6-0 halftime lead, Steel Valley took advantage of a fumble from Westinghouse on the opening kickoff of the third quarter and recovered the fumble inside the 10. The Ironmen scored on the very next play taking a 7-6 lead in the third quarter.

Westinghouse responded with 42 seconds to play in the third quarter with 20-yard touchdown run from Kahlil Taylor capping off a 6 play 98 yard drive. Westinghouse capitalized on a 2-point conversion taking a 14-7 lead after three quarters.

In the fourth quarter Westinghouse scored two more times as quarterback Keyshawn Morsillo scored a rushing touchdown and Shaun Robinson put the exclamation point on the game with a 13-yard rushing touchdown extending the lead to 27-7.

"It was a rocky one but we pulled it off," said coach Donta Green to KDKA Radio's Robert Mangino. "We didn't play a clean game, it wasn't pretty but our guys prevailed. They kept working hard and they kept pushing forward. I'm so proud of them."

Westinghouse will play for the PIAA State Championship against the five-time defending champions, Southern Columbia next Friday at 1PM at Cumberland Valley High School.
