Hotel near ECP garners a lot of passenger traffic
BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport isn’t the only place in Bay County that sees a lot of passenger traffic these days. Local Cheer Teams Finishing High In State Championship Meet
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Division 1 State Cheerleading meet took place on Friday. We mentioned a couple weeks ago how the first Bozeman cheer squad in over 6 years had qualified for state. Well that same talented group of girls placed 7th in this middle non-tumbling division, non-tumbling means it’s stunt and jump focused. Placing 7th in a state championship in just your first year is quite an accomplishment, so congrats to those girls.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It’s going to be a cold night tonight in NWFL with lows in the mid 30s inland and upper 30s to near 40 at the coast. On Saturday skies will be sunny with highs in the low to mid 60s. Winds will be East at 10 mph. Saturday night into Sunday we will see an increase in clouds. Temperatures will start in the 40s Sunday AM and warm into the upper 60s. There will be a chance of rain Sunday mainly near the coast in the afternoon. Skies clear by Monday AM with mild and sunny weather expected through mid-next week.

Two candidates have filed for the Lynn Haven Mayoral race
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - So far two candidates have submitted their paperwork to the Bay County Supervisor of Elections for the mayoral race in Lynn Haven. One candidate is Judy Tinder. Tinder was a Lynn Haven commissioner, but she recently decided to resign from seat four to put her name in the hat for the mayoral race.

Suspects flee in traffic stop, leads to manhunt
WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has two men in custody following a manhunt near Defuniak Springs on Friday. Deputies said authorities were trying to pull a car over Friday when the two men got out of the car and ran away, around the area of Smith Road and Highway 90. Deputies report the Walton Correctional K-9 Unit was called in and helped find the first suspect shortly after.
