Friday night, the town of Lexington hosted its annual Snowball Carnival Festival.
“It’s so much fun putting this on for the community, the town comes out, my family comes out, our friends and family are out here, it really brings the holiday spirit to life', said Walker Brewer, the event planner.
The event consists of local craft vendors getting a chance to display some of their hard work, that’s handmade and farm made.
“It’s time consuming but it’s a lot of fun", said Lauren Modzelwski, a vendor. "I like being able to have a job I’m creative at, work around part time at my other job.”
There were hundreds in attendance and the Lexington Police were there too as they continue to campaign for their yearly Toys for Tots.
“We hope to pack this pontoon, like several times over", said Sgt. Cameron Mortenson. "We’ve already seen the town of Lexington community be so generous with toys, bicycles, with electronics, it’s amazing what people have given so far.”
The snowball festival will continue on throughout the weekend with amusement rides on Saturday from 1p.m.-5p.m. and the Christmas parade on Sunday."
