Mostly cloudy and slightly warmer for the weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - An active weather system is sweeping through our region so it's bringing the Desert Southwest mostly cloudy skies with some lingering precipitation.

Rain chances are looking very light for our Friday, but could experience a light sprinkle.

Looking ahead to our weekend we will have mostly cloudy skies with afternoon highs warming back to our seasonal average temperatures.

By tomorrow a lingering storm cell arrives in the afternoon, which it could bring some light rain chances within our area.

Rain chances are looking light through the weekend, but the potential is there through Sunday before cooler and more drier weather returns at the beginning of next week.

The Imperial County APCD has declared a MANDATORY wood-burning curtailment for residents within the Calexico area, which prohibits the operation of any wood burning appliance during the curtailment period.
