CLARKSTON, WA – The Grantham Elementary Quarter Sale is coming up and coordinators are requesting donations. The event is an opportunity for students to purchase small gifts for their family. Officials say they rely on the generosity of the community to host this annual event. Wrapping paper, tape, and bows are needed as well as gifts for students to purchase.

Some ideas:
• small beauty items like nail kits, face masks, and chapstick sets
• tools like screwdriver sets, flashlights, and multi-tools
• children’s items like toys and books
• apparel like winter gloves, beanies, and warm socks
• household items like spatula sets, dish towels, and decor
• think stocking stuffer items

Donations can be new or gently used and dropped off at the office between now and December 9th. If you need items picked up, please message us to make arrange.

From Grantham Boosters:
Almost 90% of Grantham Elementary students live in a household that meets federal poverty guidelines. Our Annual Quarter Sale is a way for students to purchase a small gift for their family members. We seek donations from the community – wrapping paper and tape, as well as the small items for students to purchase, and then students will shop December 12-14, and each item is only $0.25. Students can wrap the gifts right there so they are ready to go under the tree when they get home. This program is greatly appreciated by our families and ensures our students feel the Christmas spirit, regardless of their family situation.

Community members that want to assist can donate items as well as do cash donations to offset any supplies we need to purchase if donations fall short. We do ask that donations be in by December 9th so we can organize, and they can be dropped off at the office. We are also able to coordinate pick-up if people are homebound.
