MACON, Ga. — Get ready to get all dressed up - but don't forget your sneakers!
Macon-Bibb County's first ever 'Sneaker Ball' is being held at the Macon City Auditorium.
Mayor Lester Miller is hosting the event on Friday December 9th, 2022, as part of the Bicentennial Celebration as Macon Celebrates its 200th birthday in 2023.
The sneaker ball is a fun way to celebrate, where guests dress to the nines in fancy attire, all except for one thing - your shoes.
Instead of wearing heels or dress shoes, everyone wears sneakers!
The ball starts at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until 10:30 p.m., and will have hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening.
There will also be live music from the Central High School Strings Orchestra, Justin Cutway, and Collective Space.
Advance tickets for the sneaker ball have already sold out, but general admission tickets will go on sale the day of the ball.
Those tickets are $40 apiece, and you can check out the venue here.
