As Governor Charlie Baker wraps up his second and last term in the Corner Office, he's making headlines — and raising some hackles — by calling for pardons in the Fells Acres child sex-abuse case, which led to multiple convictions in the 1980s, but also left lingering questions about whether justice had actually been served.

In this episode of Talking Politics host Adam Reilly is joined by GBH News politics editor Peter Kadzis and Boston Globe columnist Joan Vennochi to discuss Baker's move, the reactions it has elicited and the political subtext of the still unresolved controversy.

Kadzis, Vennochi and Reilly also take stock of Governor-elect Maura Healey's transition plans as she nears her inauguration. They also discuss former Mass. Governor Mitt Romney's ongoing political evolution, and the hullabaloo surrounding the recent visit to Massachusetts by the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Next, Reilly is joined by at-large Boston City Councilor Julia Mejia and Boston Public Schools grad Naesoj Ware to discuss the council's recent vote to let 16- and 17-year olds participate in local elections and the hurdles the measure still has to clear before becoming a reality.
