For 20 years, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick dominated the NFL together, winning six Super Bowls for the New England Patriots while posting an eyepopping 230-69 record in games where Brady was at the helm. But since Brady left the Patriots following the 2020 season, things have not gone quite so well for Belichick and New England.
As Pittsburgh Steelers radio personality Andrew Filipponi pointed out, Bill Belichick has really struggled to win games since Brady’s departure. In fact, he even has a losing record without the future Hall of Famer leading his offense.
Bill Belichick’s record is 78-83 without Tom Brady.

“Bill Belichick’s record is 78-83 without Tom Brady,” Filipponi pointed out on Twitter.
This is obviously a pretty concerning trend for Belichick as he continues to post disappointing results without Brady, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it as a result.
Isn't McDermott like 10-12 without Allen and every other good coach bad without their best QB? https://t.co/cHOgdHaDQ9

I was a very uneducated Brady hater back in the 2010-2016 years. Belichick never carried Brady, because Belichick is a defensive coach, which explains their defensive success over the years. Belichick is still an elite coach, but he didn’t make Brady elite, Brady made Brady elite https://t.co/4LVVEk9wkO

It's hard to debate his GOAT status- but it also shows how little else matters without a decent to great QB (and on the former, you usually need a great *team*, especially in today's NFL… and it's really hard to have *sustainable* winning that way). https://t.co/YBSZAoBVYv

This is not the first time Belichick has come into question for his lack of success without Brady. Former NFL running back LeSean McCoy recently called Belichick overrated, saying “I think he was very blessed to have Tom Brady and I think now that he doesn’t have Tom Brady he’s like all the other coaches.”
This stat is unlikely to quiet rumors of a potential Brady and Belichick reunion when Brady becomes a free agent this offseason.
