We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about lotsa shows including The White Lotus, Willow, Titans and Criminal Minds: Evolution!
1 | Does The White Lotus‘ in-house escort Lucia seriously not have a Venmo account? (Or a Europe-compatible equivalent?) And did Daphne accidentally showing Harper a picture of her blonde, blue-eyed kid after gushing about her blonde, blue-eyed trainer get you thinking said kid might not actually be Cameron’s?
2 | Why did East New York go to the trouble of making these prop tickets sync up up with Regina’s “tomorrow’s game” dialogue, but get the opposing team wrong? (Brooklyn played Orlando this Monday.) And if Brandy is worried about her and Andre’s secret not keeping, maybe she shouldn’t sneak a kiss in the eyeline of the front desk?
3 | Did NCIS: Los Angeles cast Rountree’s ex-girlfriend a bit young-looking, especially for someone with any meaningful experience with the FBI?
4 | Didn’t All American: Homecoming’s fall finale cliffhanger feel awfully anticlimactic? Surely Simone’s future on the tennis team isn’t in any legitimate danger, right?
5 | Why is The CW dragging its feet on announcing premiere dates for Superman & Lois, The Flash and other midseason shows? None are possibly being held for summer, are they?
6 | On The Voice, might Team John’s group performance of “The Weight” have been the first time a coach and their team members have sounded truly excellent together?
7 | At any point in the production process for Peacock’s new series Irreverent, do you think anyone pointed out the uncanny similarities to TV Land’s gone-too-soon Impastor?
8 | We’ve been watching Leverage since Day 1 on TNT, and “get” that it’s his thing, but… is Eliot’s trademark mane getting a bit too lush? On a strictly practical level, it is a very distinct look (compromising undercover disguises), and it could be easily grabbed in close-quarters combat.
9 | On The Challenge: Ride or Dies, did Jay and Michele get what they deserve? Also, what’s your opinion on the spectating players shouting out help to the players in The Zone? Should the players in the sand be left to their own devices?
10 | Did Disney+’s Willow series reveal Elora Danan too early?
11 | How was DC’s Stargirl‘s Dolores able to watch a replay of her speech at that night’s awards ceremony, all those “decades ago”? And as TVLine reader Gene notes, “Why didn’t the cosmic staff immediately recognize the unusual energy output by the Ultra-Humanite?”
12 | Survivor fans: Were you at least partially hoping that Wednesday’s episode turned into a Karla vs. Cass showdown? And should the Shot in the Dark be the next element the show cuts ahead of Season 44?
13 | Now that The Amazing Race‘s Final 3 teams are set in stone, what are the chances that Derek and Claire become the second Big Brother duo to win the Race? Are you rooting for them?
14 | On Titans, what kind of wi-fi connection does Mother Mayhem’s minion possibly have inside the Temple of Azarah? How stunning is Rachel’s White Raven costume? And speaking of supersuits, did they really design one for Jinx to only be worn for a fraction of a scene?
15 | Wasn’t Criminal Minds: Evolution‘s Elias observing the park situation from a bit too close a distance, considering a bomb might have gone off?
16 | Assuming that Call Me Kat will establish that Phil and boyfriend Jalen have embarked on a round-the-world cruise or some other such extended vacation, is that a pretty sweet sendoff for the late Leslie Jordan’s character?
17 | With Netflix optioning 28 of Christopher Pike’s books for eventual use in the now-cancelled Midnight Club, which of the author’s stories would you like to see hit the streamer next (albeit, under a new creative team, of course)?

Dude! Venmo only works in the U.S.
Oh, wow. Who knew! Question has been edited. –Mgmt.
Payment services also can’t be used for things like this. Sure, one could make up an excuse for another reason to send it, but it’s possible her character was caught having suspicious activity and banned from such accounts.
In parts of the world (Canada) we just need your email address or mobile phone number. Up to you to link them you bank account. We send from our bank to your bank and it can be auto deposited. So yes, paying for things at craft fairs and such is just slick.
But that’s from one Canadian account to another, right? The problem is send abroad.
I recently sent $3K to a relative in Germany with PayPal. She had the email of the transaction within seconds. There’s probably other schemes that could use crypto or NFT sales. However, this is Lucia and Mia, and they don’t seem too bright.
Also, at least in Canada, none of the online payment systems like Venmo are compatible. The closest is PayPal.
No one can get close enough to Eliot’s lovely locks; He’d knock them out.
That was my exact thought!!
Christian Kane also had longish hair in The Librarians. Granted, not nearly as long as Elliot’s has grown.
Maybe he’s like Samson and will lose his strength if he cuts it :)
Is Venmo required now? I don’t understand that question.
Taking payment by venmo (or zelle or cashapp or whatever you choose) just makes things easier and more efficient (though it does also make things more traceable)
17. I really loved Christopher Pike’s “Remember Me.” I read it over and over as a teen.
Me too! I’ve even read it again as an adult.
Same! I’d love to see that realized.
I would vote the last vampire series I loved it soo much as a kid still own it!!! I need to reread it as he added 3 new books a few years ago and I need to read to read them!
But remember me I think I remember loving
I was 12..but that book gave me nightmares. It would be interesting to re-read as an adult.
Given Flash is known to be ending. And a low episode count. I would not put it past them to schedule it for late spring into the summer.
5) I wouldn’t be surprised too see them held until next fall. Easy way for Nexstar to save money on programming and relaunch with some higher visible shows.
5) hopefully we get it for Spring
#1 Nobody in Europe has a Venmo account – it’s an American only app.
1. the kid is 100% the trainer’s! And that was accidentally on purpose! She wanted to show Harper that she wasn’t getting used by Cameron and wasn’t as dumb as Harper thinks she is. She probably didn’t even have a picture of the trainer on her phone lol
I totally agree. Whether Cameron knows or not is another question, but nothing about that exchange – from noting things like the trainer’s hair color to the photo she had up – was at all an accident. She knew what she was telling (or trying to tell) Harper, even though it seemed like it didn’t register with Harper with her “it’s just your kid” comment.
Exactly. I feel like it was glossed over or missed in episode recaps.
One reviewer tweeted that the cell phone had a blank screen during the preview. Apparently that happens a lot.
15. wouldn’t he have known about the particulars of the bomb? assuming that’s why he was so close.
Isn’t White Lotus set in Italy? Why would an Italian have Venmo? Does it even work outside the US?
5>>The CW seems to be in free fall currently
I wonder if they are trying to hammer out the renewals/cancellations a bit further before announcing…. what will be final seasons and perhaps a couple early renewals.
7) Irreverent/Impastor – I’m a Colin Donnell fan, so I’m going to watch Irreverent. But I loved Impastor (RIP), so they’ve got a high bar to clear.
She doesn’t use Venmo (or an Italian equivalent) because any individual receiving regular, large amounts of cash is immediately going to get flagged for engaging in suspicious activity. (There’s a reason that Walter White bought a car wash to launder his illegally obtained money and didn’t just deposit it straight into his bank account…)
8. I don’t know which of distinct and distinctive is grammatically correct, but I would have used the latter given Eliot’s fondness for describing things that way. As much as I love Leverage it’s best to take these things with a pinch of salt, after all Eliot was a country music star briefly in the original, Hardison a violin prodigy and Nate in the final of a major chess tournament.
.
15. It did seem a bit risky. I also wish they’d evolved beyond having someone trying to shut down the BAU for political game, this is at least the third time they’ve gone to that well.
If Chain Letter is one of the books they optioned, I’d love it to be chain letter, sure it’s a little i know what you did last summer (ok a lot, like i know what you did last summer ripped off chain letter) but i read that book when i was a kid (in the 80s) and I still remember how amazing it was.
Yes! This is the main book I remember, need to re-read it!
And if you’re using paypal, for example, you have to pay some taxes in europe if in a year, it exceeds certain amount..
Umm okay I was born with blonde hair. I was blonde until I turned 12 and that summer my hair turned brown not as dark as Cameron’s but still brown. My hair looked like the same color as the kids picture. So the kids could very well be Cameron’s just say’n
Sure. The point of the scene though was to say – without words – he isn’t the dad.
A kid’s hair color often changes as they grow up, but Cameron’s eyes are brown. That’s the bigger clue in my book.
#5. I don’t have a definitive source for this, but I have seen elsewhere on line that Superman & Lois will premiere on Jan. 18, The Flash on Jan. 31, and Riverdale on Feb. 15
That would put both Superman & Lois and Riverdale on Wednesdays, which has Kung Fu returning on Feb. 8th, so I would definitely take that with a grain of salt. That said, something like the Flash premiering on Jan. 31st would make a lot of sense. Winchesters returns the 24th and is said to be an encore followed by a new episode for that first night. Since it’s airing an hour later, I do think we’ll see one of them come back that next week and maybe it is The Flash. Back to Wednesday, let’s say one DC show does go to that night (be it S&L or Flash) starting January or the latest with Kung Fu’s Feb. 8th return – if the latter only has 13 eps, it could make sense for Riverdale to then join in March 15th. And since we know the new shows only have 13 eps each, maybe Gotham Knights takes over for the Winchesters, leaving Nancy Drew to either Thursdays for Independence or to Sundays. Although I also wouldn’t be surprised to see them try to stretch things into summer for advertising their relaunch.
15. I would love to see Derek and Claire win TAR because I am also a Big Brother fan but, honestly, I am ok with any of the final 3. They have all been great teams and very supportive of each other.
Oops, I meant #13.
Agree! I’ve been rooting for these three teams since the beginning. I’d love for Team Twins to win because their story is so interesting, but I’ll be happy with Team Miami or Team Big Brother. Another excellent season!
I agree. I love all three of the final teams and feel any of them are deserving! But i REALLY like Derek and Claire. :)
I always cheer against anyone who has been in another reality show, particularly big brother. Why does the TAR casting department feel like we need cast people from other shows? Fresh faces are better.
#8 Absolutely – cut some of that mane
Agreed ! My first thought this season was “Woah, that is pretty long”.
#16 – perhaps instead of keeping on traveling, they’ll start with that travel and then decide they love somewhere they visit so much they want to stay and make their new home, and that’s why he doesn’t come back. Or if it is a cruise, maybe the boyfriend gets a job on the cruise ship performing drag and so they decide to stay together – something that makes a bit more sense financially than endless travel on a budget. RIP Leslie :(
11. YES!! Cosmo should have known better. Fingers crossed Mike gets thunderbolt to wish his Dad Pat was with them in the moment he got buried….
16. Sweet send off. I was hoping Jalen wasn’t going anywhere and there was a line in this episode Where Phil wished they were on a beach in Hawaii. So maybe that is where they will have gone…
#13… I’m rooting for the twins. But I can’t see them winning. They only lucked out this past leg because of the swimming issues David encountered.
Sadly, I have to agree with you. I was surprised that the Twins made it to the final three, but clearly David had swimming issues (and they were terrible on the volcano information). I’m just glad the Twins haven’t had to quit for medical reasons. If the Twins win it’ll be a pleasant surprise, but I’ll be happy with any of the final three winning.
Me too! They have been awesome! I think they still have a chance since the finale always has some kind of intellectual puzzle type of challenge where they excel.
1) Seeing as solliciting is forbidden and prostitution is taxed, why would you get paid via a traceable mean? Cash is the way to go.
1. Definitely think Cameron not the baby daddy.
5. CW will cancel anything that isn’t bargain basement priced, so they may stretch out premiere dates to stretch its inventory.
10. My big question on Willow is why Warrick Davis wasn’t top billed? He was third in the credits.
11. I think the Cosmic staff may be faking it and will turn on Not Sylvester.
And have a hand in possibly saving Pat???
