Three teenage boys are charged with aggravated robbery after one of them ordered a female victim out of her car at gunpoint in South Nashville, according to Metro Police.
15-year-old Henry Sandoval allegedly carjacked a woman right after arriving at her apartment on Wallace Road in South Nashville.
Sandoval proceeded to leave the scene in her black 2018 Ford Escape.
Two other teens, Jesus and Saul Martinez-Garcia, who police say looked like they were with Sandoval, got into a white Lexus sedan and also fled the scene.
Within 30 minutes of the crime, Nashville detectives found the Ford Escape and followed the driver to an apartment building on Winthorne Drive. Sandoval tried to escape police on foot, however police were able to take him into custody.
Police found that Sandoval had a loaded firearm and confirmed him to be the carjacker.
They also also found the Lexus and followed it until it arrived at a Bel Air Drive home. The Garcia brothers departed the car and escaped on foot into a wooded area.
As Nashville PD looked for the teens, a community member said a gun had been thrown out of a window of the Lexus onto Currey Road.
Police were able to find an AR-15 rifle and a loaded pistol on the side of the named road.
The two teenage brothers ultimately admitted to the accusations made by police and have received charges in Juvenile Court for aggravated robbery.
