CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Since 1964, Kelly’s Big Burger downtown on Riverside Drive has been serving burgers in all combinations along with hot, crispy crinkle-cut fries and other classic favorites.

Recently, the establishment was sold to brothers Jeremy and Chad Bryant, who are working to keep the vibe alive while moving the restaurant into the future.

“I was born and raised here in Clarksville. I took some time away at another corporation for a little while, and came back, and I’m excited to be back and be a part of something in the community that I grew up in,” Chad Bryant told Clarksville Now. “We’re trying to move things forward and get a different thing out there.”

The brothers have expanded the menu and are now offering catering services. Additionally, big burger cravings can now be satisfied with mobile orders and delivery.

“We just signed up with Grubhub. That was something that hadn’t been done in the past.”

While burgers are still the staple, the new owners have also introduced smoked-in-house barbeque.

“We have lots of different burgers. We have regular size (burgers), we have jumbo size (burgers), we have doubles, (and) we have some gourmet burgers as well. We do breakfast all day, and we have our pulled pork, brisket, wings that we smoke in-house, and a bunch of different fried appetizers,” Bryant said.

The restaurant is also getting more involved with the community by helping feed local athletes before and after sporting events.

“We have started (partnering) with Austin Peay football. We just took that on a couple of months back, feeding the football players before practice, after practice, (and providing) food on the go for out-of-town games. So (we’re) highly involved with Austin Peay and we’re looking at doing more with baseball as well. We’re also signing up with quite a few of the event centers here around town to do some catering events,” Bryant said.

Kelly’s Big Burger is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 405 N. Riverside Drive.
