All year long, Klyde Warren Park has been celebrating the park's 10th year anniversary. Now, the social space, which links Uptown Dallas to Downtown Dallas will ring in the holiday season with a tree lighting on Saturday, December 3.

And it's not just any tree lighting. Mayor Eric Johnson will be at the park to light "The Mayor’s Tree.”

The 48-feet tall tree weighs two-and-a-half tons, and features 37,520 twinkling lights.

"We'll probably have probably about 20,000 people joining us," says Kit Sawers, president of Klyde Warren Park. "There will be Santa, Frosty, Rudolph, all sorts of family activities, entertainment on the stage, and of course the lighting of the Mayor's Tree."

Positioned on the south end of Hart Boulevard, the tree will glow brightly through January 9, 2023.

The free Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, December 3 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. kicks off a whole month of holiday themes at the park.
