Retiring K9 Faust recognized by board of commissioners

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - K9 Faust was recognized at a Cass County Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday for his service with the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Faust is retiring after six years.

During his time at the sheriff's office with Deputy Dave Nevins, Faust had a 70% success rate on tracking.

He located more than 135 individuals, whether criminals, children, or missing persons, on the job.

Faust also located more than three kilograms of illegal substances and five handguns.
