Former BCSO deputy sentenced to prison, convicted of holding naked man at gunpoint in Orlando
Rick NealeA former Brevard County Sheriff's Office corrections deputy will serve four years in prison after he held a naked man at gunpoint, demanded money and forced him to sign a $30,000 contract in Orlando, an investigative report said.
In a plea bargain, Amony Robillard, 31, of St. Cloud was convicted on charges of robbery with a firearm, extortion with a weapon and false imprisonment with a weapon.
Robillard was arrested on Nov. 27, 2021, by Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies after he held a man captive at a vacation rental home near The Florida Mall in Orlando, an Orange County Sheriff's Office investigative report said.
"Mr. Robillard was facing a minimum mandatory 10 years and a maximum of up to life in prison," Phillip Arroyo, his Orlando attorney, said in an email.
"After extensive negotiations with the state, Mr. Robillard was sentenced yesterday to four years prison and with good conduct he may even be out in less," Arroyo said.
"My client is a good man and this entire criminal process experience does not define him as a human being. I am sure he will continue to do great things in the Haitian community of Central Florida after serving his sentence," he said.

An Orange County judge sentenced Robillard to five years in prison, minus 367 days credited for time already served behind bars at the Orange County Jail.
Robillard worked for BCSO from March 2020 until his arrest, and he was assigned to the Brevard County Jail Complex. Sheriff Wayne Ivey denounced him in a news release the day of his November 2021 arrest.
“I am disgusted by the alleged actions of this individual that have resulted in his arrest, and as such, I have directed my staff to facilitate his termination from our agency!!" Ivey said in the news release.
"As everyone knows, I am extremely proud of the amazing men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office who work hard every day to bring honor to our badge!!" Ivey said.
"An incident of this nature is absolutely unacceptable to me and I can assure you that our team will be doing everything possible to assist and support the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation, so that justice can be served!!” he said.
