This Huge NFL Record Is At Stake In Bears vs. Packers Game

While the rivalry hasn’t been very competitive in recent seasons, the matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears is the longest one in NFL history. They have been facing off against each other for a long time and the next chapter in their storied history will take place in Week 13 at Soldier Field.

The first matchup this season was won easily by the Packers, who picked up a 27-10 victory. That has been the case for a while as Aaron Rodgers has dominated the Bears throughout his career.

He has a 23-5 record against them, which is by far the best record against any of the NFC North divisional opponents. Rodgers made sure that the fans didn’t forget that during a game at Soldier Field last season when he was screaming, “I still own you” toward the crowd as the Packers headed toward a 24-14 victory.

While both teams are near the bottom of the standings this season, as the Packers are 4-8 entering the game and the Bears are 3-9, this game does have some significance. Whoever wins this game this weekend will have the most victories in NFL history.

As shared by the NFL on CBS Twitter account, the Packers and Bears are currently tied for first place with 786 wins. The next closest team on the list is the New York Giants, who have 713 victories in franchise history.

There is also a chance that this is the last time that Rodgers plays at Soldier Field. There is a chance that he retires after the season or moves on to another franchise as his future is certainly up in the air.

That is something that Bears fans certainly wouldn’t be opposed to as they would love to see anyone else under center for Green Bay. It has been a long three decades for Chicago and their fans as they were beaten regularly by Brett Favre before Rodgers was doing the same to them.
