Impact Day: Strong Winds

40/29's Majestic Storm has the forecast

good friday morning to you all, I'm majestic storm and today is an impact day for both Northwest Arkansas and the river Valley because I'm forecasting and tracking very closely some strong southerly winds that are continuing to intensify as we head throughout our friday, the National Weather Service has issued *** wind advisory that stays in place until six o'clock tonight. Those winds moving in from the south gusting anywhere from 30 to 45 miles an hour, the strongest winds will be in northwest Arkansas. So bef before you head out the door this morning, it would be *** good idea to secure any items that might blow away or get damaged as we are heading into those later evening hours, *** cold front moves and it will bring in *** small chances of showers across the area. But it's also going to drop those temperatures for our saturday, so much cooler temperatures compared to today. But overall we have *** bit of *** roller coaster of *** weather forecast. Let's stick with those winds though, here's about 10 o'clock in the morning notice some of those winds gusting around 45 miles an hour. Now this model is over doing it just *** bit but it is safe to say that 45 mile per hour gusts are forecasted impossible across N. W. *** about 30 to 35 for the River Valley breezy conditions, taking us into that dinner time hour. That wind advisory expires at six o'clock. But even for our saturday it's going to be *** bit breezy. I know there's lots going on across town if you're gonna be out and about early saturday morning temperatures are going to be below freezing. Plus we're tracking those wing that can gust anywhere from 25 to 30 miles an hour as we're heading into our friday, not *** lot of sunshine today, we're looking at mostly cloudy skies, temperatures though we have been on the warmer side warmer than the last few days because all of those winds are moving in from the south. So upper fifties today across northwest Arkansas low sixties for the River Valley, mainly cloudy, mainly dry, but then that cold front moves in tonight and that's when we could see some scattered rain showers. So let me show you how here's my hour by hour forecast temperatures are into the fifties, we could still see some low sixties in the River Valley by that point and then we'll watch for that cold front, it really swings in while most of us are sleeping, also bringing in small, scattered shower chances. And then by the time we're waking up on saturday it is going to be cold. That cold front brings in all that cold northerly air twenties and thirties across the area. So if you're going to any of the five Ks tomorrow morning, grab those layers, you will want them because remember not only do we have that cold air, but we also have *** bit of *** breeze for our saturday for the afternoon on saturday, not too bad. We look for sunshine, we're dry, It's not until saturday evening and into sunday. That's when we'll see that next round of moisture. More widespread rain is expected highs today across northwest Arkansas into the upper fifties for most 58 degrees today for your friday in Rogers 59 for Bella vista as well as Fayetteville. And then as we head into the River Valley, temperatures will be slow, slightly warmer upper fifties low sixties 61 in Fort smith and 63 poto just overcast, warmer and breezy conditions and then that cold front moves in. It is going to bring in *** possible chance of *** few scattered showers overnight tonight. By the time you're waking up on saturday though, it's gonna be nice. Good mix of sun and clouds, just cooler temperatures drop only into the mid forties. That's all we're going to warm up to for saturday high and then saturday night and into sunday, another round of rainfall. So if you're going to church sunday morning, you may encounter some light scattered showers, temperatures stay into the upper forties for sunday and then monday will be another impact day because we're watching for the chance of not only showers, but also *** few isolated storms could develop monday and into Tuesday, those temperatures are really across the board. We have forties fifties and even some sixties in the River Valley, it's also an impact day today because of those winds. While those winds in the River Valley won't be as as strong as northwest Arkansas, they'll still be most definitely noticeable. 30 to 35 mile per hour. Gusts are expected that front moves in tonight, bringing with it scattered showers, but it also brings in that cooler air that you will expect to feel early saturday morning and those highs tomorrow only into the mid forties sunday morning. You gotta plan for some rainfall and another band of widespread rain moves in monday could see *** few isolated storms as well as we head into our Tuesday. I hope you have *** great weekend.
