Pop princess Britney Spears is celebrating her birthday today! Many fans have missed the original sound of the singer as it's been years since the last time she released a solo music project. Today, the public is waiting for her comeback and there were reports about her dropping a revenge album soon; could this be true?

Before discussing her big return to the music industry, let's take a look at Spears' life and career.

Born Britney Jean Spears on December 2, 1981, the pop star is now 41 years old! It appears that the singer has a talent for performing since she was a kid as she started attending dance lessons in Louisiana at the age of three.

Two years later, she made her singing debut by performing at her kindergarten graduation to perform "What Child Is This?"

Aside from dance and voice lessons, she also tried gymnastics. Although it appeared that the singer was exhausted when she was a kid from all the things she tried, she explained in a previous interview that she was in her own world.

"I was in my own world, ... I found out what I'm supposed to do at an early age," she told Rolling Stone in 1999.

Her attempt to have a breakthrough in show business began when she auditioned for "The Mickey Mouse Club" but she was rejected for being young.

Since then, she started working on several off-Broadway musicals until eventually finding herself working in the music industry full-time.

Today, Britney Spears is popularly known for her classic hits "Oops! I Did It Again," "Toxic," "Gimme More," "Sometimes," and many more.

Britney Spears' Highly-Anticipated Comeback

Since the pop star is now free from her 13-year conservatorship, many fans have been waiting for her to release new music soon.

Although she dropped a collaboration with Elton John for the song "Hold Me Closer," supporters wanted to hear the authentic sound of the singer by releasing a solo project.

Sources told Hola! Magazine that Spears has been working on her next project and they confirmed that she's experimenting with a new style after years of being directed by her team.

"Britney's now working with several friends who she trusts, getting into a groove, and developing her own new style," one insider revealed.

The source also noted that the music project could be a "revenge album" that targets her years-long conservatorship.

As of this writing, Britney Spears has not confirmed whether she's releasing new music soon or not.
