More than a week after a deadly hit-and-run on Thanksgiving night in Denton, police have now captured the man they've been hunting for.

Using pieces of the car broken off at the scene, investigators determined that the victim was run down by a Hyundai Elantra manufactured between 2007 and 2009.

Police say they got tips identifying the driver as a man named Tony Gray. They tracked him down and observed him removing the license plate from a car matching the one used in the hit-and-run. They also learned Gray had tried to make arrangements to have the car crushed.

Gray is now locked up on a charge of causing an accident involving death and one of tampering with or fabricating evidence with the intention of impairing an investigation.
