Governor Baker In Ashfield For “Last Mile Event”

(Ashfield, MA) Governor Baker came to Ashfield Thursday to celebrate the “Last Mile Event.”  The Baker-Polito Administration have been working since 2016 to bring broadband networks to every community and today, almost all do, with the exception of seven communities still in progress.

Over the course of the project 40,000 telephone poles have been planted and 2,000 miles of fiber have been laid. Lt. Governor Polito said they have laid the infrastructure so the next administration may continue the work.
