There’s a new option in Manchester for those who have nowhere else to stay warm. The 1269 Café on Union Street opened its doors at 9 p.m. It will stay open until 7 a.m., as a safe space for people to escape the cold.“We just think it's incredibly important that they have a place to come where they feel safe, where they feel secure, where they can get a warm meal, a hot cup of coffee,” said Mary Chevalier, founder of 1269 Café.Organizers said they can fit about 53 people each night.They open their doors once an hour, on the hour.
