The stars of next year's Air & Water show made a special visit to Milwaukee on Thursday.
Preparations are now underway for the 19th Annual Milwaukee Air & Water Show. The Blue Angels visited the 128th Air Refueling Wing for a winter site visit ahead of this summer's event. Pilots with the Blue Angels say they hope 2023 will be even better than 2022.
"We're tweaking a few things. This is the third season of the F-A Super Hornet," said U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Thomas Zimmerman.
The Super Hornet is a newer plane, with all the bells and whistles.
"The Super Hornet is an amazing aircraft, a little bigger, a little faster, a little louder than the legacy hornet," Zimmerman said.
The Air & Water Show is a crucial event for the city and surrounding area.
"It's a huge economic driver for Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, and the region as a whole," said Guy Smith, executive director of Milwaukee County Parks.
The 2023 Milwaukee Air & Water Show takes place July 22-23, 2023.
