LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man was in custody today in connection with the shooting death of another man in a Winnetka area home.

Bilal Bin Abdullah, 43, of Lancaster, died at the scene of the shooting, which was reported about 3 p.m Sunday in the 20000 block of Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Tony Ross, 38, was arrested Wednesday in Canyon Country and booked on suspicion of murder, the LAPD reported. Ross was being held on $2 million bail.

``The motive for the murder remains under investigation,'' the LAPD reported on Thursday.

Earlier, police said their ``preliminary investigation revealed, a male entered the location and confronted Abdullah in the upstairs bedroom.''

``Several shots were heard, and the male fled the location in a red or maroon sedan,'' police said. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 818-374-9550 or 877-LAPD-247.
